2008 "The Archimage" Red Blend 750ml
The 2008 Archimage is a remarkable wine, showing its class and pedigree from the vineyards it was sourced from. This micro-cuvee of 9 barrels was aged for 23 months in 50% new French oak, and is a blend of 50% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Franc, and 17% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is packed with dense, opulent fruit such as blackberries and black cherries, wrapped by a cloak of tobacco and green olives from the Cabernet Franc. Bright acids from the cooler 2008 vintage help carry the flavors on and on. This wine will easily cellar for a decade. Decanting is recommended if opening while this wine is still young.
